The equipment distributes granular material e.g. seed, having feed and acceleration mechanisms for it. An inlet pipe (4) is connected to the accelerator mechanism (7,8) and to two or more outlet pipes (5) via a shutter (6). A detector in the inlet pipe emits a control signal actuating the shutter and discharge pipes (20) are connected to the outlet pipes. The acceleration mechanism can incorporate a passage for the material whose wall is formed by a curtain of gas flowing at high speed.
