<p>The attachment is clamped to a rectangular beam on the back of a vehicle e.g. a tractor, by means of fixing plates and bolts. Rods passing through the ends of the rear plate are fastened to bars. The other ends of the bars are connected to the spray head holder. Curved narrow runners fixed to the front end of the lower bar run along the ground on either side of the row of plants. When the ground behind the vehicle rises, the runners rise, altering the shape of the hinged parallelogram formed by the rear plate, bars and the spray head holder, raising the spray head. The device can also carry cutting devices in place of the spray head.</p> |
