PURPOSE:To prevent dishonest use by other people by providing a password registration area and a password change area in a memory and a password input key in an IC card, respectively. CONSTITUTION:By operation of the password input key 13 of the IC card 10, the password is input, and a microprocessor 11 of the IC card 10 performs password registration processing control and the password input in the password registration area 16 is registered. In case of changing password subsequently registered, regarding the password registered by the microprocessor 11, confirmation within the prescribed number of times is carried out by data in the password change area and after clearing the password, change is effected. |
