SUPPLY OF RESIDUAL OIL FOR FLUID CONTACT DECOMPOSITION TESTER

PURPOSE:To contrive a higher operating rate of a tester, by employing a 2-fluid nozzle comprising an inner tube and an outer tube wrapping it for supply of a residual oil. CONSTITUTION:A residual oil is supplied to an inner tuber 1 of a 2-fluid nozzle 10 from a line F while steam is supplied to an outer tube 2 of the nozzle 10 from a line S and the residual oil is jetted into a pressure chamber together with the steam in drops from the tip 6 of the nozzle 10. As the nozzle 10 is so arranged as for the center axis thereof to almost align the center axis of a fluid contact decomposition reactor, the drops of the residual oil jetted from the tip 10 of the nozzle 10 proceeds to the center axis of the reactor thereby minimizing the attaching thereof to the wall section of the pressure chamber and the reactor. This prevents the generation of cauking accordingly while permitting a smooth rise of a catalyst in the reactor as the flow of the drops just along the direction of fluidizing the catalyst and thus, the operating rate of the tester can be elevated.
