PURPOSE:To eliminate transaction waiting and also to reduce conjestion of lines in credit transactions, by additionally providing a central unit and a radio- communicable credit-transaction exclusive-use terminal for conventional POS terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:Credit-transaction exclusive-use terminal equipment 24a-24n is provided with a means for radio communication with the central unit 23. The central unit 23 performs, in addition to making communications necessary for cash and credit transactions with the POS terminal equipment 2a-2n, etc., as previously through a line 27, communicates with the credit exclusive-use terminals 24a-24n by way of antenna facilities 25a-25n, thereby carrying out credit reference, transaction summing-up etc. The POS terminal equipment 2a-2n may be used exclusively for cash transactions. Further, since the wireless communication is performed within the premises and semi-duplex communication is sufficient, the scope of selection of communication systems is wide. |
