PURPOSE:To improve the yield by chocking a duct by coagulating a part of a molten metal in the duct earlier than a molten metal in a cavity, immediately after the molten metal has been sucked up and packed in the cavity, holding the inside of the cavity in the atmospheric pressure or above, and coagulating the molten metal. CONSTITUTION:A cavity 5 of a casting mold 1 placed in the upper part of a molten metal 8 is made to communicate to the molten metal 8 through a prescribed stoke 6 which becomes a runner, and on the other hand, the cavity 5 is brought to pressure reduction and the molten metal 8 is sucked up and packed, by which a pressure reduction casting is executed. In that case, immediately after the molten metal 8 has been sucked up and packed in the cavity 5, a part is coagulated earlier than a molten metal in the cavity 5 and the stoke 6 is choked by a cooling medium for jetting the molten metal 8 in the stoke 6 from a nozzle 16. In this way, the inside of the cavity 5 is held in the atmospheric pressure or above, and the molten metal 8 is coagulated.
