PURPOSE:To prevent a printer from being vibrated, by a construction wherein an elastic body and a deadweight with a fixed mass are provided on a frame carrying thereon a driving mechanism for reciprocating a printing mechanism part so that the square root of the value obtained by dividing the elastic coefficient of the elastic body by the mass of the deadweight is approximately equal to the angular velocity of driving of the printing mechanism part. CONSTITUTION:One end of a leaf spring 1 is fixed to the frame 3 on which the printing mechanism part 10 is mounted. The deadweight 12 with a fixed mass is fitted to the other end of the spring 1. Where the elastic coefficient of the elastic body 1 is K N/m, the mass of the deadweight 12 is M kg and the angular velocity of driving of the printing mechanism part 10 is omega=sq. rt. K/M. As a result, the dead weight 12 is automatically vibrated at an angular velocity of omega rad/sec with a phase difference of pi rad/s relatively to the mechanism 10, namely, in the direction opposite to the direction of vibration of the mecha nism 10, thereby cancelling the vibration accompanying the reciprocation of the mechanism 10. Accordingly, the printer can be prevented from being vibrat ed. |
