PURPOSE:To suppress more than required repulsive stroke and enable printing operation to be performed stably and at high speed by setting damping material which absorbs a return impact during printing operation on an opposite surface to the printing surface of a head apex on a printer head. CONSTITUTION:A head apex 6 receives ink giving impact to an ink pad 3 at high speed. The ink pad 3 is composed of gel-like damping material to absorb vibration, so that the colliding head apex 6 does not receive a too much repul sive force and consequently the unnecessary hitting of the head apex 6 to the paper by such repulsive force is prevented. Accordingly it is made possible to minimize a clearance between the head apex 6 and paper 9, therely minimiz ing the momentum of the head apex, a thus accelerating printing speed. |
