PURPOSE:To develop a heat development photosensitive material without any unevenness and to transfer an image of the heat development photosensitive material to transfer paper without any unevenness by providing an infrared heating device and a moving means which sends the heat development photosensitive material in the infrared heating device and sends it out of heating device. CONSTITUTION:The heat development photosensitive material 12 is conveyed as shown by an arrow and sent in betweeen ceramic plates 32 and 34. Then a current is flowed to heaters 36 and 40 to perform temperature control so that the surfaces of the ceramic plates 32 and 34 are at constant temperature. Simultaneously, fans 52 and 54 are rotated. Consequently, external air is blown in between the ceramic plates 32 and 34 as shown by the arrow A. Therefore, the air temperature between the ceramic plates 32 and 34 becomes uniform. Further, infrared rays radiated from the surfaces of the ceramic plates 32 and 34 are absorbed directly by the photosensitive material 12. The radiant energy density of the infrared rays between the ceramic plates 32 and 34 is constant, so the front surface of the photosensitive material 12 is heated uniformly, so that no irregularity of development is caused.
