PURPOSE:To provide a titled recovering device which can recover the gas in a furnace top charging hopper down to the atm. pressure with simple installation constitution by constituting the device in such a manner that the above-mentioned hopper and the low pressure part of a conduit for the gas generated in a blast furnace behind a device for treating the generated gas are connected by a pressure release pipe specified in the equiv. piping length for connection and that the internal pressure of said hopper is released by such pressure release pipe. CONSTITUTION:The small-bell hopper 6 of the blast furnace 1 and the low pressure part 7D of the gas conduit behind a secondary cleaner for the gas generated in the blast furnace are connected by the pressure release pipe 18 having a pressure release valve 16. The pressure in the hopper 6 is released by opening the valve 16 and the gas in the hopper 6 is released through the pipe 18 into the low pressure part 7D of the above-mentioned gas conduit, by which the gas in the hopper 6 is recovered. The gas in the hopper 6 is recovered down to the atm. pressure by setting the equiv. piping length Le of the pipe 18 expressed by the equation at 900-1,100. An important contribution is thus made to the economization of energy in iron works.
