PURPOSE:To decrease the mode designating input operation by executing the half character converting, etc., to the figure alphabet input, etc., stipulated beforehand in the KANA (Japanese syllabary) KANJI (Chinese character) mixing sentence input operation. CONSTITUTION:When a key-inputted KANJI starting code is inputted, a converting buffer CODL 15 to show the number of effective data is initialized, and a KANJI converting flag 17 is turned on. When a KANJI completing code is inputted, a CODL 15 is made into +1, a command buffer COBUF 16 is read and a KANJI converting action is started. When the key data are figure codes, the data are converted to the half angle figure, a converting action loop variable is equal to the command length, all overall width figure codes on the COBUF 16 are converted and completed to the half codes, and a usual KANA KANJI converting processing is executed.
