PURPOSE:To simplify the monitor operation and obtain a faithful compensated signal, by switching over an image switch circuit input with a horizontal synchronous signal separated from an original color image signal, an original color image signal and a compensated image signal by a split signal obtained by delaying this horizontal synchronous signal in the 1 horizontal scanning period. CONSTITUTION:In a mixing circuit a compensated color signal component and a luminance signal component are synthesized, and a compensated image signal S3 is formed. On the one hand, an original color image signal S1 is input into an input terminal 71 of other side of an image switch circuit 7 as it as. A horizontal synchronous signal input in a sublink signal generation circuit 9 is delayed by 1/n horizontal cycle, becoming a split signal, and taken out from its output terminal 93. A monitor signal S2 becomes an original image signal S1 at the first half of the horizontal scanning period and a synthetic signal constituted by the compensated image signal S3 at the second half. When this signal is reproduced on a cathode-ray tube, in a determined left area of a screen an original color image is reproduced, in a remaining area the copmensated image is reproduced, and the monitoring can made comparing 2 images on a screen.
