PURPOSE:To project a light beam properly on a recording face even when the disk is deformed such as warping, etc. by controlling to minimize the inclination of the direction of optic axis of a light beam incident on the recording face of a disk to a line perpendicular to the recording face of the disk. CONSTITUTION:Supposing that an optical disk 2 is deformed to warp upward as shown by alternate long and short dash lines and a skew due to it is generated, a motor 42 rotates in the direction shown by the arrow mark X to tilt an optical system 21 to the direction of the center of the optical disk 2. With rotation of the motor 42, a pinion gear 64 rotates in the direction shown by the arrow mark X. Consequently, a rack gear 60 moves and a guide shaft 50 tilts upward around a joining point (fitting holes 56a and 56b) with a bracket 56. Consequently, the optic axis O of main beam incident on the recording face of the optical disk 2 through an objective lens 14 tilts in the direction toward the center of the optical disk 2, and the skew becomes minimum.
