摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To alleviate the load of an operator when an exciter is switched by bringing the output voltage of a preliminary exciter with that of a normal exciter to energize in parallel the preliminary exciter, and then sequentially weakening the field of the normal exciter. CONSTITUTION:When converting to a preliminary exciter during the operation of a normal exciter, the preliminary exciter 3b is first started, and a voltage setter 8 is regulated and secured so that the designated value of a voltmeter 17 becomes zero, i.e., the primary exciter output voltage and the normal exciter output voltage become equal. When the indicated value of a voltmeter 17 becomes zero, a field breaker 5b is closed to connect the exciter 3b in parallel with the exciter 3a. Then, the resistance value of the field regulating resistor 6a is gradually raised, and the output voltage of the exciter 3a is gradually reduced. As the output of the exciter 3a decreases, the supply source of the exciting current of the field winding 2 of a main machine 1 is shifted automatically from the exciter 3a to the exciter 3b.</p>
