PURPOSE:To correct an error and to prevent the expansion of the subsequent error by referring to both of an address pointer and an error pointer signal at the time of decoding. CONSTITUTION:The block address circuit 1 of a receiving device detects the error of a block address signal. When the error is not present, data is written in a memory 2 at a place indicated by the block addresses of the bisected memory 2: otherwise, data is written in an FF. In the same manner as the memory 2, when the error is not present, data is written in a memory 3 at a place indicated by the block address in the pointer memory 3: otherwise, data is written in the FF. While data is written in either one of the memories 2 and 3, data is read out of the other to correct the error by an error correcting circuit 5. The addresses of the memories 2 and 3 are generated by an address generator 4. At decoding the address pointer and the error pointer signal are referred to correct the error, and the expansion of the subsequent error can be prevented.
