This fencing blade comprises a longitudinal groove 3 which, opening out on at least one of its small lateral faces 5 and having a substantially trapezoidal cross-section, the small side of which forms the open orifice 4 of the blade, ensures, by means of its sloping faces 7, the mechanical retention of the conductor 8 subsequently engaged in this groove as a result of the elastic deformation of its casing 8a.
