PURPOSE:To obtain easily a core slider with track width at high accuracy by jointing members made of a nonmagnetic material to both sides of a foil made of a magnetic material with track width or a magnetic thin film, cutting the jointed members in the direction intersecting orthogonally with the joint surface, formed a groove on one jointed member and jointing the surface provided with the groove concerned to the other jointed member. CONSTITUTION:The members made of nonmagnetic materials are jointed to both sides of the foil made of the magnetic material having the same thickness as the track width or the magnetic thin film, and cut in the direction intersecting orthogonally with the joint surface. Then the groove is formed on one jointed member, and the surface provided with the groove is linked to the other jointed member. Namely a track part 15 is formed with the foil made of the magnetic material or the magnetic thin film, and I-type block 12 and C-type block 13 are segmented from a block available from laminating the foil 11 made of the magnetic material in the same thickness as the track width and the nonmagnetic member 10.
