PURPOSE:To make a positive cleaning of air preheater, positive dust removal and further perform removal of adhered material in the low temperature element by a method wherein the medium temperature element having adhered material therein can be pulled out of the preheater, the adhered material is removed by a cleaning device and at the same time the adhered material is removed by heating the downstream side low temperature element. CONSTITUTION:Medium temperature elements 11 are arranged in a radial form and when each of the elements is pulled out of AH (air heater) while being slid on the pulling guide rail by a driving machine 14, a seal cover 12 is closed to make a sealed condition of the air heater. The pulled medium temperature element 11 is operated such that the hot water pressurized by the injection pump 15 is injected by the injection nozzle 16 so as to clear and remove the acid ammonium sulfate adhered on the element 11 or close it. The cleaning water is received by a drain pipe 17 and transported to a processing tank by a drain pump 20 through the pipings. The low temperature element which is located at the downstream side of the pulled sector of the medium temperature element is dried by hot temperature gas, so that in case that compound of ammonium sulfate is adhered to the low temperature element, a dust removing effect may also be attained. |
