PURPOSE:To rotate easily the transmission polarized wave surface of an input/ output wave guide tube with the use of a short filter decided by the length of a resonator by fitting said tube so that the jointed electromagnetic field of said tube with respect to the resonator can make the prescribed angle. CONSTITUTION:The length of the TE10 mode hollow resonator 2 of a microwave filter 1 with its both sides open is assumed to be lambda/2, and openings 5 and 6 are opened at fitting flanges of the input/output wave guide tube. The respective openings 5 and 6 of the flanges 3 and 4 are fitted with the group of fitting holes, 7a, 7b, 8a, 8b, 9a, and 9b and that of fitting hole s 10a and 10b, respectively, so that they can have an inclination of 45 deg. with respect to the opening of the resonator 2. The filter 1 is passed, whereby an electric filed E is rotated by 90 deg. between the input side wave guide tube and the output side wave guide tube, and the length of the filter 1 is set shorter as that of the resonator 2. |
