PURPOSE:To obtain elastomer suitable as packing, etc., having improved compression set while keeping characteristics of vinyl chloride resin, and molding properties, by kneading the vinyl chloride resin with a rubber-like substance in the presence of a crosslinking agent in a closed mixer until a specific resin temperature is reached. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin having 800-10,000 average polymerization degree is blended with (B) 30-400pts.wt., preferably 50-150pts. wt. plasticizer (e.g., dibutyl phthalate, etc.), (C) 10-500pts.wt., preferably 10-200 pts.wt. rubber-like substance (e.g., preferably NBR having 25-42wt%, preferably 30-42wt% accryronitrile content), (D) 0.3-15pts.wt. organic perioxide having >=150 deg.C decomposition temperature to obtain a half-life period of 1min, and (E) 0-30pts.wt. polyfunctional acrylate or methacrylate by an intensive mixer until the resin temperature reaches >=170 deg.C. |
