The invention relates to a transport trolley which can be moved by hand. The essential feature of a known transport trolley equipped with a platform and a basket resides in the fact that this trolley also makes it possible to transport objects in plate or panel form on edge when the basket which extends perpendicularly to the direction in which the trolley moves is in its use position. With the aid of the transport trolley of the invention, it is now possible to also transport a small child in the basket. For this purpose, the axis of pivoting 19 of the basket 9 is arranged on the transport trolley 1 between two stirrup-shaped pushing handles 7, 7' and the basket 9 further bears, via its end 11 which is furthest away from the axis of pivoting 19, on the stirrup-shaped pushing handles 7' associated with this end 11. <IMAGE>
