PURPOSE:To accomplish the title stabilization sufficiently for a long period, by incorporating an alkali metal compound and/or alkaline earth metal one in a novel radically curable reactive oligomer. CONSTITUTION:(A) A monomer having a structure of formula (R and R' are each H or CH3), e.g., glycidyl (meth)acrylate is subjected to ring opening polymerization, in the presence of (B) 5-100mol%, based on the component (A) of a monoalcohol e.g., 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, using (C) 0.1-10mol%, based on the component (A) of a cationic polymerization catalyst, e.g., boron trifluoride to form a reactive oligomer. Immediately after that, (D) 0.1-10 (pref. 0.1-5)wt%, based on said oligomer, of an alkali metal compound and/or alkaline earth metal one, e.g., sodium hydroxide is added to the system followed by mechanical agitation at 0-30 deg.C for >=10min, (pref. >=30min), thus accomplishing the objective stabilization.
