PURPOSE:To prevent reduction in throughout or line efficiency even in a line communication having a large propagation delay time by applying retransmissoin by the Go-Back-N Autoamatic Repeat Request system in the unit of logical link using in common a data link when an error takes place in a transmission frame. CONSTITUTION:Data generated in application programs 7-9 is sent to a communication control processor 14 and data from logical links 10-12 is sent to a terminal device 17 via a communication sattellite 16. The reception data is given to corresponding application program 18, 19 or 20, and if the received data has an error, the reply of retransmission request is returend. For example, if the end data of the application program 8 of the data serial number 5 is not correctly received, the retransmission request of data in an REJ8(2) is returned. Until the retransmission request reaches the communication control processor 14, the data from series numbers 8-11 are transmitted and since the data are not the data of the program 8, they are not thrown away and given to the corresponding application program.
