<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate welding of the pellet, the cup and the sleeve together by using a Ta-W alloy to form at least one of the cup and the sleeve. CONSTITUTION:A Ta-W alloy is used to form at least one of the cup 2 and the sleeve 3 of an impregnated cathode structure which consists of a pellet 1, the cup 2 and the sleeve 3. The above alloy is composed of Ta and 1-50 atomic % of W. Accordingly, laser welding can be very easily performed on a position 4 without resulting in any appearance defect such as splush.</p> |
