PURPOSE:To avoid the defective connection or miswiring by arraying plural insulated electric wires in parallel with each other with prescribed spaces and breaking through these electric wires with connection pins of a collective connector of a traveling object detecting unit to secure the electrical connection among those wires. CONSTITUTION:A machine tool 6, i.e., a traveling object has reciprocating motions along two rails 7, and parallel electric wires 9 are set between both rails 7 and in parallel with these rails for detection of the traveling object. The detecting units 10 are attached at several areas in the lengthwise direction of the wires 9. Thus corresponding position signals are obtained. When the units 10 are attached to the wires 9, the sensors like reed switches, etc. which are actuated by a magnet device are connected to the prescribed areas of the connection pins 13 of a collective connector 12 in combination specified for each unit 10. The connector 12 holds the wires 9 between an upper block 16 and a lower block and presses the wires 9. Thus the coat 20 of the insulated wire 19 is broken through by the tip 18 of the pin 13 to secure the electrical connection between the wire 9 and a conductor 21. |
