The invention relates to an electrical power line (feeder) having a plurality of conductors 2 which is especially intended for powering electrical appliances by means of a carriage 22 provided with contact wipers (fingers) 24. Each conductor 2 is housed in the base 10 of an insulating sheath 1, at the bottom of an individual protective groove 20. These grooves are disposed facing a wide longitudinal opening 14 in the sheath, which facilitates the visual inspection, the removal of waste material and the installation of the carriage. The side wings 11 of the sheath are elastic and enable the carriage and/or stationary power intakes to be introduced or withdrawn without it being necessary to cut off the power to the conductors. Such a power line (feeder) can be used both for stationary and movable power supplies, especially for traversing bridges (travelling bridge cranes), lifts, electrical tools or lamps. <IMAGE>
