Packaging carton of the type assembled by gluing or stapling lateral flaps prolonging the small end sides to the inside face of the large lateral sides. It is constituted by three elements which are formed into a volume and assembled mechanically, the said elements forming a mantle 1 and two end pieces 2, glued or stapled to the inside face of the small end sides of the mantle and acting as stiffeners increasing the resistance to crushing of the corners of the package and allowing a reduction in the height of the large lateral sides over a part of their length in order to form, when stacked, elongated openings 1f allowing an effective aeration of the product contained. The end pieces may be extended by a folding down section allowing the formation of a height-wise partitioning of the volume of the package. <IMAGE>
