The method consists in: - forming the biscuit dough into thin shapes 31; - giving each shape the desired form while still hot, by simultaneously moulding its interior and exterior before it hardens. The mould device comprises an upper mould half 4, corresponding in shape to the internal shape of the cup which it is desired to form, and vertically movable relative to a hinged lower mould half 5 designed to close steadily as the lower mould half 5 descends, so as progressively to form, in cooperation with the upper mould half, the interior and exterior of the cup. When closed, the lower mould half 5 presents a cavity corresponding to the external shape of the cup. <IMAGE>
