PURPOSE:To directly take out signals without using CCD by a method wherein a strip-shaped electrode which contacts a photo-electromotive-force-type element in the direction of columns is provided on the array on which photo- electromotive-force-type elements are two-dimensionally arranged, and also insulating separation grooves are formed. CONSTITUTION:An array AY on which a photo-electromotive-force-type element D is two-dimensionally arranged and also insulating separation grooves 14 are formed as well as an electrode substrate 21 which has strip-shaped electrodes 22 piled on the array AY and contacting the said photo-electromotive-force-type element D are provided. According to this construction, signals are directly taken out from the photo-electromotive-force-type array AY through the electrode 15 and strip-shaped electrode 21 without using a CCD. Therefore, it is made possible to construct a photo-detector device with wider dynamic range and favorable S/N ratio. The fact that there is no need to perform wire bonding on each photo-electromotive-force-type element D makes it possible to manufacture the device even if it is miniaturized. |
