PURPOSE:To reduce mutual interference among reproducing signals when tracking displacement occurs at each head by recording/reproducing an illuminance signal and a color difference signal on each rotary head, which is arranged in relation of prescribed position. CONSTITUTION:The illuminance signal of a terminal 26 is frequency-modulated 28 and fed to rotary heads Y1 and Y2. Color difference signals R-Y and B-Y of terminals 30 and 31 are respectively frequency-modulated at the FM modulators 34 and 35, fed to rotary heads C1 and C2 respectively, and recorded on each track separated in the tape width direction of a magnetic tape 15. when reproduced, the track is reciprocally scanned by one field each by means of the heads Y1 and Y2 and an FM illuminance signal of the track is reproduced and fed to an FM modulator 40. Similarly, the color difference signal reproduced by the heads C1 and C2 are separated through filters 43 and 44, and each signal is fed to respective modulators 45 and 46.
