PURPOSE:To prevent an information leakage to third parties by inhibiting a transmission to the communication line of a picture signal when coincidental output is not obtained by a comparison of the holding content of a transmission destination number holding register with that of a dial number holding register. CONSTITUTION:A digitized telephone number from a character reading part 1 where the transmission destination telephone number that is written on a facsimile transmission sheet is read and digitized is inputted and held at a transmission destination number holding register 2. Also, when a facsimile is transmitted and a connection with a transmission destination is executed by a telephone dial, a digitized dial information from a dial information inputting part 3 where th information of a telephone set dial is inputted and digitized is inputted and held at a dial number holding register 4. The outputs of register 2 and 4 are compared by a comparator 5. When the outputs of the comparator 5 not coincide, a transmission control circuit 7 inhibits the transmission of the picture signal to a call circuit. Thus, the information leakage to the third parties can be prevented.
