PURPOSE:To permit the incorporation of a servocontrol valve circuit with a min. required number of parts and to prevent surely the deflection of work rolls in the horizontal direction by making possible the positioning of back-up rolls only by one set of the position servocontrol system by the combined displacement in the horizontal direction. CONSTITUTION:Command current (b) flows to a servocontrol valve 19 and the pressure oil from a pump 21 flows into a hydraulic cylinder 7 when a command (a) is applied to a control device 20. A piston 7A moves in an arrow direction and brings the back-up rolls 5, 5A into contact with the work rolls 4, 4A. The combined extent of the movement of the rolls 5, 5A is detected by a position detector 9 which returns a feedback signal C to the device 20. The positioning of the rolls 5, 5A is completed when the signal C and the command value (a) are made equal. |
