PURPOSE:To manufacture easily a metallic mold by adopting a hot isotropic pressurizing method and using a material which can be removed by a mechanical or chemical means as the stock for a pattern to be prepd. first. CONSTITUTION:The same pattern 1 as a certain product is manufactured of, for example, carbon and a coating layer 2 consisting of a heat-resistant and wear-resistant metal is formed on the outside surface thereof. The pattern is embedded into, for example, a powdery and granular stainless steel material 3 and the outside thereof is enclosed with a hermetic case 4. The assembly s charged into an HIP furnace and is subjected to an HIP treatment, by which the coating layer 2 and the material 3 are metallurgically joined and lumped. The lumped material is taken out of the HIP furnace and is divided, then a base body 3' for the metallic mold which has the carbon pattern 1 at the center and is lumped circumferentially with the coating layer 2 and further the material 3 on the outside circumference thereof is obtd. The carbon pattern 1 is thereupon removed by the mechanical means and the metallic mold is obtd.
