NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I. USE:Raw material of pharmaceuticals and industrial chemicals. It has physiological activities to protect DNA and RAN against thermal denaturation, to promote the synthesis of proteins, and to activate enzymes, etc. PREPARATION:1mol of norspermidine of formula II is subjected to the addition reaction to 2mol of acrylonitrile in a solvent such as t-butanol, ethanol, etc., and the resultant compound of formula III is reduced with NaBH4 and CoCl2 in an aqueous solution to obtain the pentamine of formula IV. 1mol of the pentamine is added with 2mol of acrylonitrile by the same method as above, and the product is reduced to obtain the objective compound of formula I.
