<p>Pump having an annular chamber (3) provided in a conical casing (2) and defined at its outer surface by a side wall of the casing (2); a precessionally moving impeller (6) housed in the annular chamber (3); a flow guide wall (7) projecting from the central portion of a circular end surface of the casing (2) into the annular chamber (3) and defining the inner surface of the annular chamber (3); an inlet passage (8) formed so as to extend through the flow guide wall (7); and an inlet (10) joined to the annular chamber (3) via the inlet passage (8) and opened in the central portion of the circular end surface of the casing (2). This centrifugal pump is capable of increasing pumping efficiency to a high level, and minimizing the occurrence of back flow and turbulence in a pump chamber.</p> |
