In a rubber roller peeler (1), at least one roller (2 or 3) has on top of its rubber-elastic coating (8) a further coating (9) with a higher abrasion resistance. The said further coating (9) is of a thickness such that it is elastically deformable, when supported by the rubber-elastic coating (8) below it. As a result of this, the rubber-elastic qualities of one coating (8) are combined with the high level of abrasion resistance of the further coating (9). In order to make the further coating (9) easily replaceable, a roller (2 or 3) of the rubber roller peeler (1) can be provided with a fastening device for the further coating (9).
