PURPOSE:To obtain an intended product whose periphery is finished in a rational and efficient manner, by stretching a molding material by a vacuum force or pressure applied from a stretching treatment groove provided on a molding material holding jig side in a direction where a substrate material layer part may be separated from the component material layer against the adhesive force. CONSTITUTION:A molding material (M) is heated to be softened, is place over a vacuum mold 10 with the skin material layer 2 upside, and is held by a holding jig 16, and a vacuum pump (P) is operated. The material (M) is brought in firm contact along a molding surface 11 of the vacuum mold 10 and is subjected to vacuum forming. A valve 15 is opened. Then a stretching treatment groove 13 is made in a vacuum state, a substrate material layer part 1a at the groove 13 is attracted against the adhesive force to a skin material layer part 2a greatly in a direction in which the part 1a will be separated from the part 2a, and finally the substrate material layer part 1a is separated from the skin material part 2a and is stretched into the groove 13 where it is vacuum molded onto the surface of the groove 13. Then the material layer section 1a where they are separated is subjected to trimming indicated at C-C. The extended material part 5 is turned and secured by an adhesive or the like to obtain the intended product the periphery is finished.
