PURPOSE:To separate serum and blood-clot by coagulating a whole blood specimen within a short time, by forming a tubular container from a polyethylene terephthalate or a copolymer thereof and allowing elaidic acid to be present on the inner wall surface of said container. CONSTITUTION:A cyclic org. compound represented by formula I (wherein A is a residue of a cyclic compound) and having two adjacent carbonyl groups present on the same plate substantially three-dimensionally is allowed to be present on the inner wall surface of a tubular container made of polyethylene terephthalate or a copolymer thereof. For example, a dispersion of elaidic acid and polycationic isopropyl alcohol represented by formula III is prepared and applied to the inner wall surface of a 10ml volume blood examination container made of a polyethylene terephthalate resin to be dried in air. When this container is used, a blood coagulation time is about half that of a glass container and serum separability is extremely well.
