Water carbonation in common plastic soft drink bottles. It has two separate relief valves (6, 33) and one gas exit valve (22a). A bridging member (37) uses one of the relief valves as a pivot point closing it when depressed. This seals the system to gas-tight readiness for operation. When further depressed the bridging member still retains the system operable and also activates the valve permitting gas to flow from the high pressure cylinder through the invention to the water to carbonate. The reverse movement of the bridging member reverses the action, cutting off the flow of gas first, then venting the system to normal atmospherics. The second relief valve operates independently of the bridge by indicating by sound the effect of depression on the bridging member.
|
