Apparatus for volumetric proportioning and transferring of a sample into a measuring vessel while excluding air

The transfer of a liquid or gas sample into a measuring vessel which is sealed against the external atmosphere by a gastight membrane, can at present be effected only by the laborious and expensive use of a syringe. The present invention represents a simple device which is able to proportion such a sample and then transfer it into a measuring vessel (e.g. a cuvette) without any contact occurring between the content of the measuring vessel and the external atmosphere. An essential part of this device is a so-called sample bore which can receive said sample. Proportioning and inward transfer of the sample in each case is effected by means of displacement of that part of the device which carries the sample bore. In one case this is a plug which, for the purpose of inward transfer, is displaced towards the interior of the measuring vessel; in another case it is a conical plug which is rotated in a sheath by 90 DEG and thus, via two grooves, accomplishes the contact of the sample bore with the interior of the measuring vessel.
