PURPOSE:To attain transmission of information even to persons not carrying a small-sized display pager by providing a large display pager receiving information from a paging system and installed on the roof of a building or the like. CONSTITUTION:A subscriber number and an advertising message in common to large display pagers 6, 8 are sent to a paging exchange 2 using a stored program system from a central station 1. Then the paging exchange 2 using the stored program control system generates pager call message data, transfers it to a transmitter 4 from a data transfer controller 3 and sends each data on radio via an antenna 5. The large display pagers 6, 8 receive it respectively, produce a call tone and display the advertising message on a large display. Thus, the advertising message such as an urgent message is sent to many persons in the vicinity and the information is sent to persons not carrying a small-sized display pager. |
