An antler shield has at least one jaw compartment on the back for the reception and attachment of jaws. In order to be able to observe the teeth of the jaws directly without removing the antler shield from the wall, the jaw compartment is designed as a backward recess ending openly at the edge of the antler shield, so that the jaw can be attached with teeth projecting laterally beyond the edge of the antler shield.
