摘要 The invention relates to a metal-free optical aerial cable which is laid in the vicinity of electrical high-voltage installations and is held on supporting devices via earthed metallic supporting or bracing elements, the bracing elements surrounding the cable sheath which consists of insulating material. In order that no corona discharges to the bracing elements are produced despite the use of materials having little leakage-current resistance for the cable sheath, it is proposed that protective insulations surrounding the cable sheath be arranged at the circumferential points, which extend in the cable longitudinal direction on the end region of the bracing elements, and resting thereon, towards the cantilever section of the cable sheath so far that, in the cable axial direction, a high-voltage resistant leakage path is produced from the exposed cable sheath to the exposed region of the bracing element via the protective insulation, and that the protective insulation consists of an insulating material which has a higher leakage-current resistance than the insulating material of the cable sheath. <IMAGE>
