PURPOSE:To provide an effective brake force by rotating only the first rotor with a capstan as a drive source, and rotating only the second rotor with a motor as a drive source. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic brake device 1 is mainly composed of the first rotor 2, the second rotor 3, and a motor 4 for driving the rotor 3. The rotor 2 is coupled with a shaft 5, and rotatably supported to a bearing 8 in cooperation with a capstan 7 of a wire extension wheel 6. The rotor 3 is rotatably supported to a bearing 11 around the shaft 5. A coil 12 is wound on the rotor 3, and energized through brushes 13, 14 and a conduction strip 15. Thus, the rotation of the rotor 3 generated in the motor 4 is applied to the rotation of the rotor 2 generated in the capstan 7, a relative rotation resistance is generated between both the rotors due to the increase or decrease in the current to the coil 12 to suppress and brake the rotation of the capstan 7. |
