PURPOSE:To make a spatter scarcely adhere, to improve the peeling property of the spatter, to prevent a short-circuit generated between a chip and an object to be welded, and to improve the durability of a nozzle and the welding efficiency, by using a non-conductive material such as ceramics, etc. for the nozzle member. CONSTITUTION:A supporting ring 2 is attached spirally to the tip of a welding torch 1, a cylindrical nozzle member 3 is installed to the tip part of the supporting ring 2, and also a holding ring 4 is fixed to the outside periphery of the supporting ring 2. Recessed grooves 7, 7 are provided peripherally on the outside peripheral part in the vicinity of both end parts of the nozzle member 3, and a ring spring 8 is fitted into one recessed groove 7. As for this nozzle member 3, a non-conductive material such as ceramics, etc. is used, and especially, Si3N4 and ceramics consisting of it mainly are a material whose high temperature strength, wear resistance and thermal shock resistance are excellent, and desirable especially as a material for the nozzle member 3. The holding ring 4 has a tapered surface 9 on the inside peripheral surface of the tip part. This surface 9 becomes thinner toward the tip, and it is engaged with the ring spring 8.
