摘要 <p>The invention is to improve machining precision of a profile controller which moves a tracer head and a model relative to each other along a path instructed by numerical data. Profile operation means (4, 5, 30-33) prepare a speed signal (Va) in a profile direction and a speed signal (Vz) in the Z-axis direction based upon displacement signals (εX, εY, εZ) from the tracer head (1) and direction signals (sin α, cos α) that indicate a profile direction sent from a direction signal preparation means (36). Speed signal preparation means (18, 19) prepare instruction pulse signals in the X-axis and Y-axis directions based upon the numerical data that indicate the moving path of the tracer head (1) and based upon the speed signal (Va) in the profile direction prepared by the profile operation means (4, 5, 30-33). Moving means (10X, 10Y) in the X-axis and Y-axis directions move the tracer head (1) and the model (3) in the X-axis and Y-axis directions relative to each other based upon the signals produced by the instruction pulse signal preparation means (18, 19), and a moving means (10Z) in the Z-axis direction moves the tracer head (1) and the model (3) in the Z-axis direction relative to each other based upon a signal (Vz) produced by the profile operation means (4, 5, 30-33). The direction signal preparation means (36) prepares direction signals (sin α, cos α) that indicate the profile direction based upon the signals produced by the instruction pulse signal preparation means, and supplies them to the profile operation means (4, 5, 30-33).</p>
