The cabinet-type side furniture for computer workplaces, which is to be suitable for supporting a monitor and a keyboard and for the closable accommodation of a central computer unit and, moreover, is to be adaptable in height to any other office work tables (21), and which consists of a box-type cabinet body (1) on whose covering panel (3) is arranged a vertical support column (14) having one or more brackets (25, 26) arranged on swivel arms (23, 24), has a support column (14) which is attached to a horizontal understructure (7), passes through the covering panel (3) of the cabinet body (1), and on which the cabinet body is attached so as to be vertically adjustable. The support column (14) can be arranged at the side of the cabinet body (1) and pass through a lateral projection (4) of the covering panel. With the aid of a support strap (31) which is arranged running transversely on the covering panel (3) and has a laterally projecting support arm (32) with an anti-slip friction covering (33), the side furniture can be connected non-positively to another table in the simplest manner. <IMAGE>
