PURPOSE:To detect the developer life of every developing device accurately and easily by providing a measuring means which measures the quantity of rotation of a developing roller. CONSTITUTION:A developing device 10 has the 1st developing roller 311 and the 2nd developing roller 312 and integrating time meters 1391 and 1392 as life display devices for displaying developer life and developer empty display devices 1401 and 1402 which indicate that developers in hoppers 511 and 512 of the 1st and the 2nd developing devices 321 and 322 decrease below a specific amount are provided on top surfaces 1381 and 1382 of the hoppers 511 and 512 and at both side parts of lid bodies 1331 and 1332. The integrating hour meters 1391 and 1392 measure the rotational quantities (time) of sleeves 441 and 442 constituting developing rollers 311 and 312 to display the life of a developer respectively. Consequently, the developer life of every developing device is known easily and accurately. |
