PURPOSE:To make the hull steerable in the desired direction, by making a main water pipe discharge a high-pressure fluid from the required spot of the hull below the draft, while utilizing the reaction received by the hull when it discharged the high-pressure fluid. CONSTITUTION:To propel the hull 1 in both forward and backward directions within a vertical center surface X-X of the longitudinal direction, a pump 4 is driven by a prime mover 5, whereby seawater is sucked in from an inflow port 2 via a rotating impeller 3. The sucked seawater is pressurized by the pump 4 and fed to the inside of a main water pipe 6. Either of valves 81 and 82 of the main water pipe 6 is opened, having the pressure water discharged out of the valve, and the hull is propelled in the desired direction by means of a reaction at that time.
