PURPOSE:To perform inspection with high accuracy by making contact pressure always constant, by moving a pair of electrodes to a mutually approaching direction by the operation of an electrode switching mechanism so as to hold the leg of a photoelectric converter element between said electrodes. CONSTITUTION:When the leg of a photoelectric converter element A is inserted in the leg insert hole 7 of a block 4 and an operation lever 25 is revolved to fall an arm 20, a cover 19 covers the photoelectric converter element A. A cam follow 27 moves to the direction spaced apart from a support stand 3 by the falling of the arm 20 and a pair of electrode supports 10 move to a mutually approaching direction and, therefore, the leading ends of a pair of electrodes 12 supported by the electrode supports 10 are contacted with the leg of the photoelectric converter element. Because the electrodes are freely movable in the axial direction and pushed by a spring, said electrodes are contacted under predetermined pressure and the electric characteristics of the photoelectric converter element can be certainly inspected with good accuracy.
